what is the difference between modern day spanish music and old traditional spanish music?

traditional music
i need help badly!! my project is due tomorrow and all i can think of is that it used to be played on guitar to serenade people but i cant think of anything help please!!!

    Santana is modern day.
    Maracas are traditional spanish.
