Is “traditional” music a part of Christmas or not?

traditional music
Love christmas and got the spirit big time, but am being turned off by so many redoes of traditional christmas carols in malls and other public places. Can’t think of one in particular right now, but it seems like about every third song, I have to listen intently to the words all the way through to find out what it is becaust there is nothing familiar about the music or even the beat. Anyone else notice, or am I just “Bah-Humbugging?”

There are singers known as song stylists which means they cannot sing . I think it started with Mahalia Jackson .From Christmas carols to the Star Spangled Banner we must groan at the production.

That’s why the call the experiences typical of the Christmas season “tradition” It therefore stands to reason that some of what you hear is traditional. I agree that some re-do’s of traditional songs are not all that well done.

As an aside, kudos to you for spelling it properly and capitalizing the word “Christmas”.
